My Choice, My View, My Voice, My Vote............

June 9, 2008

My Choice, My Voice, My Vote.......

THANK GOD!!

There are some other African Americans who are taking a closer look but more so a STAND in this election......

I have been worried, disgusted and sad.. but I can understand why so many people support him... however the reason why most are is NOT enough....

the color of his skin and the pure fact that he has broken into several doors being a black man is great.... but i am very shocked to see that the CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY.. THE SAINTS are on the wave themselves..

riding it.. building him a boat, checking the temperature of the water, being like a deacon and making sure that the water is clean etc.....etc...etc...
he openly talks about abortion and changing the laws for gays- lesbians and the list goes ON...... like a bad credit report....

but we dont seem to care.. simply because he is black.... wow..

nonetheless..

i want to thank EVERYONE for being "" one"" of the individuals who appreciates the color barriers that were broken BUT not gitty on the rest of the "product" that is being hyped all over the nation.......

take out the CHRISTIAN.. GODLY values then YES WE...

What Power Principles are Missing From Your Life?

May 6, 2008

How We Define Power

Our culture historically has held that women should be most powerful in traditional roles that foster the growth of others such as mothering, nursing, teaching, etc. Most positions of social and financial power are still held by men. Many women fear if they use the traditional power models which are hierarchical, self aggrandizing, controlling, dominating, and potentially destructive, they will be abandoned by friends and family, and frowned on by the culture at large. Most women would be more comfortable wielding power if they believed they were enhancing the power of other people while simultaneously increasing their own power. This mutually empowering model is not how the majority of the world has defined power.

Feminine Power

Women’s views and concepts of power have not been taken into account in most studies of power. It seems important that women keep examining a feminine definition of power that is collaborative, nurturing and affects positive change in self and others. Many women would prefer to feel powerless and inadequate than risk the consequences of being seen as selfish or dominating. As a Woman’s Life Coach, I have often worked with women to help them move out of “learned helplessness,”... [More]

A BOOK!!

April 24, 2008

Never Thought that Russell Simmons.. Hip Hop Could Change My Life

Something weird, great, unsual and yet so liberating happened to me in the early part of this year of 2008. I was fighting to come out of yet another storm that the Lord saw that I needed to go through and he sent me to Barnes n Nobles.

Personally when I am in certain storms, I need DIFFERENT things to help SUSTAIN ME while I am in it. Therefore, in the end.... I shall .. will.. did come out as pure gold.. Anyway I went to the self help, business then back to the political section and as I was scanning over titles and book covers I thought of music in general.

By this point I was like Lord.. "" seriously.. I have way too many cd's as it is!! you cant be telling me to buy some MORE music""... then I saw Russell Simmons book called Do You.I bought it, read it.. cried over it.. and I changed!

I started this new and improved version of  life when I was talking to  a wonderful pastor friend of mine who is just exploding in ministry right now in the Maryland...

This is ALL I want to know..

March 6, 2008

This is all I want to know.........

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR & THE CREW THAT WALKED WITH HIM ARE SOME OF THE INDIVIDUALS ID LIKE TO MEET

This is all I want to know.....

Do you think that Martin Luther King Jr. has asked the Lord if he could leave Heaven being escorted by one of the angles.. at least just for a minute...

Gabriel or Michael so that he could ask the African American Communities if he DIED FOR NOTHING..

Good question dont ya think?

He just wasnt for black rights... but for civil rights.. HUMAN rights.. but of course being an African American himself..he wanted the best for his people..

Nonetheless.....because as a people.. yes A PEOPLE.. we have not totally taken the open doors that he ignited for HIS people as well as others..

Hmm.. maybe some of our communities ( these young kids as well.. no respect.. in any form or fashion ) need to have the luxury of getting sprayed by forceful water gushing hoses and being chased and bitten by dogs to fully understand what he was trying to accomplish....

Understand my frustration yet ???????????????
P.S. African Americans and The Younger Generation STILL will...

STOP!!!!! v.s. BE......

November 6, 2007

STOP!!! V.S. BE...

MyHotComments.com

GOD GOT THIS ONE, AND ALL THE OTHERS IF YOU LET HIM

STOP pushing, STOP interacting, STOP pulling things into balance for they will only go back out again.  STOP trying to make everything work.

Allow wht is. All is ready.  All is at hand.  Forces against change are larger than your conscious mind can even begin to comprehend...................

STOP and just BE STILL within yourself....

Understand that although you are not  the Genesis, the Catalyst behind the power but you can have the power. You are the power within ( God, if he lives in you then...... ) the power.

You are the power that is before the power.  You are the power that controls the power.  You are the Divine Power that is the I AM.  BE all that you are.  BE who you have been prepared to BE.

STOP looking outside yourself for others to accept you.  Accept yourself and your own Divinity.....

All is in Divine Order.  All is in its time.  All is in balance.  Resistance to this and to everything outside yourself and your control is futile.

STOP and see the irony taking place before your eyes.  The forces of change are ripping you...

Are Black Women Angry?.......

July 21, 2007

Okay after just posting two other blogs.. making sure that my grammer was correct and I was using bible scriptures...

i needed a break from being poitcally and gramatically correct.. so I started surfing other sites and groups..

and guess what.. i found a group called ANGRY BLACK WOMAN!!  i was offended... then mad.. then silent...

oh i was floored... but then guess what.. I was like.. are we angry? AM I ANGRY? WHY DID I  INQUIRE INTO THIS GROUP!!!

then i wanted to see what was REALLY going on with my fellow sisters and see if i could help with feedback OR BEING HONEST TO SEE IF I HAD SOME OF THE SAME ISSUES AS THEM!!

now the average person seeing this title.. especially if it was a black man would automatically think that we are literally a bunch of angry balck women.. but do you realize that most people dont even ask why we are angry..its like to people its a SIN for a black woman to be angry....but an angry black woman surely got tyler perry paid in the movie box office..

things happen to us black women... we are taught to keep things to ourselves.. and just suck...

A GOOD NAME

January 6, 2007

Holiness in NOT My Look, but It's My Life.....
Valarie D. Coleman is A God's Girl... A Kingdom Daughter and Has A GOOD NAME

Zephaniah 3:20 ( GLORY )
On that day I will gather you togetherand bring you home again.I will give you a good name, a name of distinction, among all the nations of the earth,as I restore your fortunes before their very eyes.I, the Lord, have spoken!"

A good name enables us to have a good influence on others, while a bad name causes us to have a bad influence. "Ye are the salt of the earth: but of the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house" (Matthew 5:13-16). No matter what my understanding of doctrine may be, I cannot bring others to Christ if my reputation is not what it... [More]

WOMEN STUFF....

October 6, 2006

Woman Stuff............

No matter how you fight, in the spirit realm it is impossible to fight "lady like"...

The skilled woman can invent beauty over and over again with extraordinary effect.

The art of inventing beauty transcends class, intellect, age, profession, denomination, geography-virtually every cultural and economic barriers.

I have always believed that one woman's success can only help another woman's success.....

Young women MUST become active for the betterment of themsleves.

They care about the progress the things that women may have started/ changed/ improved
but they take it for granted...

(Most do )

It is very obvious that there are Soo many women just don't know how great they really are.

The appear to be full on the outside but empty on the inside..

I find that women can be creative in total isolation! I too, use to do my best "stuff" this way too... But it was not due to anything negative, it was just how God gave me the sparks that I needed...

However, I know many women of excellence who do awesome work in ministry and in their secular fields and they dare not even SHARE it with anyone!

Nonetheless, I feel that some may...

PATIENCE...PATIENCE AND MORE PATIENCE..

October 6, 2005

"The greatest challenge to the development of patience is being able to wait for the tangible evidence that your efforts are paying off. We have a fixed idea of what we want and what it will look like when it shows up. We hold that idea so firmly that often we are unable to detect that the very thing we want has actually arrived." ( at least im hoping so )

Patience is one of MY character traits in need of refinement

Be open to other options. What you might receive instead of what you may totally want via opportunities..... Instead of getting your way... God will have his way...... I know right.. I use to being in MAJOR CONTROL myself.... that is not good.. and in ALL things.. there must be and REMAIN balance.........

Patience is letting go of the need to be in control. It is the process of surrendering yourself to the wait.

Spiritually understand and really realize that most things of value take time to create. Once you discover you are pregnant, you have to wait nine months before you can deliver your child. And when you plant a garden, you have to wait for the... [More]
